3/2008 - Welcome Juergen

Juergen Fryling has arrived from Berlin - Germany with his wife Elke and doughter Lisa. He bring with him significat experience in the area of Server and network infrastructure support. In his previous position in system support at a technology and innovation company in Berlin he was group leader in charge of further education. Juergen's role in the company will further strengthen our ability to timely and professionally respond to IT challanges by advancing our training programms with a strong focus on new Microsoft Technology including Windows 2008 server.

1/2008 - First VMware SBS installation

Friendlyware completed its first Small Business Server VMware ESX migration project. Advanced technology allows customers to run multiple servers on a single hardware platform. Benefits include reduced server costs, a significantly increase in disaster recovery protection, reduced power consumption, cooling requirement and of cause: less greenhouse gas. We are expecting to increase the number of ESX installations by one a month for the next 18 month.

6/2007 - FriendlyWare turns Cabon Neutral

The company Carbon Neutral ( www.carbonnetral.com.au ) has been contracted to offset or carbon emission by planting trees on our behalf. We have offset our estimated greenhouse emission for power, car and air travel for the coming tax year by "purchasing" native tree plantings on an ongoing annual basis.

7/2007 - Support by Web

We have completed purchase and development of a web-based support tools for remote support. While we have always been able to support our customers' servers via remote control, we can now diagnose and fix workstation based problem from our office. A newly designed secure web application enables you to make your PC available when and if we need it, it's as simple as opening a web page and entering a code.
